Progress

Hi guys, welcome to the my graphics blog. Here I will be posting all of my graphic designs I do for Twitch TV. Hope you guys enjoy the content, check out the contact page to get in touch.

Today i'm going to be talking about something I have been working on recently. It's something that I enjoy and I think helps a lot of smaller streamers grow their channels.

Graphics

I have been working with Photoshop and OBS to create graphics for different streamers on Twitch TV.

Currently I have only made graphics for poker streamer's, since that is what I stream personally, and have the most hours watching. I will potentially be looking to branch out in future to other games.

The graphics I make when setting up a poker overlay include -

Main Overlay with table(s) - Main overlay consists of the poker table or tables, depending on what the client wants. Usually a webcam design, social media links, follower and subscriber graphics etc.

Break/intermission screen
 - A tournament streamer will usually take a 5 minute break every hour, and a cash streamer may take sporadic breaks through the stream. The overlay will be used to inform new viewers that they will be back shortly, and to add something different with new graphics to the channel.

Panels - It's nice to have panels under your stream to match the graphics/colours. So I make panels for stream info that make the channel look more professional.

Offline Screen - If you go to any partnered streamers channel you will see a graphic when they are offline instead of just having a blank screen. It's just another thing you can do to look more professional. You can have your social media links on there to grow those areas too.

Logo - Streamers will often want a logo to use on their stream, social media and YouTube channel. A logo is good to gain exposure for your channel, and as you grow people will start to recognise you for your logo and channel graphics.

Start/End Screen - This will consist of a graphic with some kind of countdown feature and a closing screen for when they shut down the stream.

Extra's - Hand Review Overlay, Giveaway Graphics, Youtube Banner, or any other special requests the client may want.

Progression

For anyone looking for graphics i'm going to post some of my work from day 1 of Photoshop to now and how i've improved and am still improving to this day.

First Overlay I made with Photoshop

As you can see there are lots of mistakes here. One being the colour scheme, colours are all over the place, and do not match well at all. Another being the alignment. The webcam and table are not aligned properly and it just looks messy. The only thing I like here is the input of the social media links.

First graphic that went live on Twitch TV

This was the first overlay I made that went live on Twitch TV. Just a basic 1 table overlay with some boxes for stream info/chat and space for a webcam. This was the first graphic that I implemented the recent follower and donator graphics.

First client via Twitter

This graphic was made for somebody who contacted me through Twitter. Again this was in the early days of using Photoshop. Another basic graphic made for a Pokerstars player. Personally looking back now I think the colour scheme here was a mistake. Looking past that though, it's a clean graphic and an improvement from the 1st.

 First Overlay's for my channel

This was the first overlay I made for myself. I wanted something for my Pokerstars challenge so went with the red theme to match the company logo. I like the colour scheme more than the last graphic but definitely still improvements to be made. Worth noting that this was attempt one at a webcam graphic and some infoboxes that rotate as a slideshow live on the channel.

There's also a similar graphic that I made for a Party Poker stream.

Live on Twitch TV @dodgy007

This is first graphic you can see live on Twitch right now. If you want to check it out live head to Bankroll Grind's Channel. Here I've made an offline screen and a 2 table layout. As you can see I've given him the Follower/subscriber/donation images, table graphic, webcam graphic, results box, and chat box. I usually leave a lot of space on the screen so the streamer can input whatever he/she likes onto the channel. In this case he has his bit cup, top bits, HM2 results and scrolling chat.

Live on Twitch TV @boat1987

I made this graphic last week for Boat1987. Boat just wanted your standard 2 table layout for 888 poker, I gave him a logo, some social media links, follow and donation graphics and an offline screen. I also made him a 1 table graphic in the package.
